I am currently at the University of Auckland, studying towards a Bachelor of Science (Psychology and Biology) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Population Health and Mental Health & Addiction). When I'm not studying I love to be around people and animals, travel and spend time at the beach. I also spend a lot of time tutoring high school students, or curled up somewhere with my nose in a good book. I have 2 first aid qualifications: a workplace first aid (basic first aid) certificate and a Pre-Hospital Emergency qualification. I also have basic food safety and communication and leadership qualifications. My first language is English, but I am also semi-fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

I love singing, dancing, making a fool of myself and hanging out with my 5-year-old niece. We spend our time doing outdoor activities and making either waffles or pancakes and baking a variety of flavoured cakes, brownies and cookies. I've always enjoyed spending time and working with, children. I have just completed a graduate diploma in teaching (primary) hoping to further my skills and knowledge by learning from children. I have over ten years of experience in babysitting, this includes, cooking/ meal preparation, house cleaning, ironing clothes (if required), putting kids to bed, taking them to their after-school activities and of course, help with homework which includes different strategies taught in primary/ intermediate schools.

thank you very much for taking the time to review my application. I would like to use this letter to help you to get to know me a little better and to explain why I would love to spend tutor your little ones. My name is Malin Meurer and I am from Germany. I‘m 19 years old and did tutoring back home in German, English and Maths, as well as French. I feel like I am an out-going, open-minded person and I love having people around me. During my free time I love to meet with friends, attend dancing lessons, spend time with my family, visit new places and get to know new people and cultures. I am currently an Aupair in Milford, Auckland and will stay here until february 2019. I really enjoy spending time with kids and teaching them through play and games. I got my driver´s license in december 2016 and a first aid certificate. What is more is that I attempted a "Babysitting-Course" in 2015 and I also absolved the "Cambridge Certificate" level C1 to improve my english skills.
