I am 21 years of age and currently a student at the University of Otago, but originally from Auckland. I completed my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Geography & Politics and I have been recently accepted into the Masters of Planning course which I will complete over the next 2 years. When I am home I live with my mum, dad and my younger sister (19). My interests lie in the outdoors, physical activity and engagement with nature. I am a keen and passionate surfer which is what I devote most of my time too. However, I hold interests in a variety of sports such as rugby, cricket and waterpolo. I also love music as I have become super invested in DJ'ing. It's been an awesome hobbie to involve myself with as I play at regular gigs and events and it has taken me to various cities/towns across the country including Dunedin, Wanaka, Wellington, Mount Maunganui & Auckland. If I were to outline some of my more desirable qualities it would be that I am a super conifdent, reliant, sociable, creative and positive person. I am a very chatty and sociable person and I think that is a skill that I have developed through my roles in sales, promotions and retail. I love talking to people, particularly kids and due to my active and physical nature I feel I have found to engage really well with children in that sense.

My previous employment history holds a strong background particularly in sales, promotions and retail but have also had some experience in warehousing and manual labour. Honestly, in terms of childcare I am not as expereinced as I would like to be, however I am hoping this platform exposes me to new experiences and skills. If I were to acknowledge some experience, it would be that I have been a babysitter a handful of times to families in the surrounding neighbourhood. Our family home is on a street that has alot of families with younger kids and I have spent alot of time with them over the years playing and interacting with them, taking them to the skate park or going to the local playground and basketball courts etc...
