Greetings! I have just arrived in the beautiful country of New Zealand after spending one amazing year in Australia traveling and working as a nanny for three beautiful families! I have a very strong background in dance, attended Texas Woman's University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Education. Through my teaching in the public school system, I had the opportunity to work with several students of various ages and backgrounds (2-18 years old). Ultimately teaching is not only my profession, but also a strong passion. I've been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work and travel another country alongside some wonderful children. During my time in Australia I worked with children ranging in age from 2-16. I have a Working Holiday Visa that is valid until May 31, 2017. During my time at University, I worked at a local dance studio with students ranging from 2-18 years old. My primary role in that particular position was to educate them in many genres of dance and assess their progress. Upon graduation, I landed a position at Bryan High School where I was the dance instructor within the fine arts department as well as the head dance team coach. Within these roles I was responsible for teaching dance, managing schedules, meeting with parents, coordinating and attending fundraiser and charity events, lesson planning, event planning, etc. Finally, my experience in childcare ends with my time in Australia where I worked with three beautiful families over a period of 12 months. My first family was a live-in position where I cared for three children, ages 5, 8, and 11. My last two families I cared for simultaneously as I was living outside of their homes. One of the two families had 4 children, ages 2, 4, 6 &8 while the other had only two, ages 3 & 5.
