Summary of Experience

For the past two years I have worked weekly at the local primary school on a volunteer basis to complete my practical requirements for my New Zealand Open Polytechnic course, which then eventuated into a salaried one-year relieving position. Over the time I have invested in work and study I have been endorsed with new knowledge, becoming acquainted with working alongside dedicated staff and their pupils and I have grown accustomed to the everyday structure in a school environment. Throughout this period I have become familiarised with working with primary school aged students, some that have specific learning needs and their individual cares. I look forward to acquiring more skills in aim to provide more beneficial assistance and delivering a mutually comfortable, trusting environment to pupils with special education needs. I have a specific interest in those with a learning disability and sincerely wish to continue to pursue working in this sector of education; I personal
