Hello! I am a 26 year old kiwi girl looking for a part time nannying position. I have recently been made redundant from one of my jobs so am looking for a position for Mondays and Fridays. I have been working on and off with Children over 5 months old for the past 10 years and recently spent a year living and working in America as an Au Pair. I have my ECE L3 certificate, current first aid, full licence and own vehicle. I also have a recent police clearance and references.
I am a Kea Leader with my local scout group. I love to dance, write anything and take photos of random things. I like to explore and have fun. I enjoy being in the sun, at the beach or being surrounded by trees
I am currently seeking some after school babysitting hours. At present, I am working at Auckland Normal Intermediate running programs in maths, writing, mindfulness and Hip Hop dancing. I also took an after school debating class for majority of 2018. In 2019 I will continue work at ANI focusing on the health and well-being of the students, finishing work at 3pm every day. I am reliable and responsible individual with experience and tertiary level knowledge on child development and psychopathology. If you are interested in talking further I would love to hear from you!
I am very enthusiastic about working with young children and I have plenty oexpereince including infants under the age of 1. I can provide excellent references. I have been studying early childhood education for over 4 year and I am now studying a Bachelor of Arts in education at Massey university.
My journey into education started in 2007 when I first began working at an ECE centre. Since then I have gained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Auckland and become a fully registered teacher. In 2016 I travelled to Italy to learn more about the Reggio Emilia approach which strongly inspires my work with children. My philosophy is also guided by Magda Gerber’s respectful approach and in 2015 I took part in the RIE foundations course to deepen my knowledge on respectful practice. These experiences have led me to believe that educating children in the home is best as it provides children with the peaceful and authentic environment that they need to grow and learn. The relationship I build with each child is the most important part of my work as within a trusting and supportive relationship, children can participate in quality learning experiences and truly thrive. My hope is that my home will be a special place to learn; where children feel loved, nurtured and respected.
